Unplug24 is a national day of awareness that calls on people to step away from social media for 24 hours on Mac’s anniversary.
We do not charge for any of our work, so all funds raised are used to help prevent sexual extortion and suicide.

Why does one day matter?
Every day, Australian children are exposed to risks online long before they’re developmentally ready. Research shows that 1 in 4 young people experience online bullying, and the average child now encounters harmful content by age 12. At the same time, Australia is facing a national suicide crisis, with suicide remaining the leading cause of death for young people aged 15 to 24.
Unplug24 is our chance to pause, reset, and start a national conversation about healthier digital habits, for ourselves, our families, and our communities.
